We are a quality collaboration of design & client-centered trade professionals. While we might scale back a project scope out of necessity, we do not cut corners, especially when it comes to safety/longevity. We pay our people a living wage. Our team is great to have on-site: trustworthy, high-vibe, and professional. We vett our contractors carefully, assessing skillset, vibes & integrity. Relationships are the core of our work together, so fit is important, all around! The decision to work together is a two-way street. Even though we like a solid plan, we’re responsive to changes along the way. We take design inspiration from all angles, and do our best to encourage YOUR inner designer to help shape the vision. We believe responsibility for an excellent project is shared by all, which is why we have regular communications about the state-of-affairs. Big decisions are considered jointly by all affected parties; the whole process is a team effort. We FINISH! All the way through the tiny wrap-up details, and don’t get fully paid until we’re all signed-off.
It isn’t necessary to bring us in as the contracting/management of your project, for us to work together. It isn’t necessary that you have some ambitious remodel in mind. The core of our work is to make functional, beautiful space, whatever the project wants to be. Whatever is going to support your Sacred Domestic. A lot of Getting Started, is knowing what the landscape even is, what’s possible, and what’s feasible. We are happy to consult about what might be the best direction.
Decades and decades and decades of combined experience! A super collaboration of many talented artesian and tradespeople, many of whom grew up in their trade(s) with family members. We are whole-brained in our thinking, really doing our best to make sure everyone who needs to know, is on the same page about what we’re all doing/agreeing to.
We have the experience to know that a range of project-scope is possible. Some elements are foundational and harder to get creative about. Projects can be designed in phases to increase the feasibility of their implementation. Because so many of us have really been around the block, we can plan for and make changes intelligently.
Most of our contractors are masters in their trade. They bring knowledge, perspective, skill, and experience to the table. And, we are always looking for support from those who want to learn how to excel in the building trades. (If you know a good person, send ‘em our way!) We are always asking, what’s best for the project? What are our constraints? How can we get there? How can we pivot, if we can’t get there? We make sure the project lands in a good place, and that everyone generally enjoyed themselves, most of the time.
A fully-functional, beautiful home is always the goal in our work together. The inspiration mostly comes from YOU, as we get to know you, and what would make your home so much more magical! We offer a range of ways we might achieve the vision. The alchemy of the project, (almost)regardless of budget, is what inspires us to do the work. With 30 years in design/build and environmental art installation, Mya is deeply familiar with the creative budget. You can “afford” so much than you think, with a creative budget, design, and skillful project management. It’s about prioritization & allocation: be able to take care of the core structural items, and still find the resources to have a truly beautiful and unique space your heart desires.
In These Times, the home is everything, and a sanctuary worth investing in, where you can, no matter how modest.

I rejuvenate, I replenish, I refresh —- So I can meet the road ahead.
Mya began moving her bedroom furniture around at the age of 5, and she hasn’t stopped! Creating fully- functional, beautiful spaces is in her blood. Theatre was the original/professional training ground on which she developed her ability to work together as a multidisciplinary artistic team, everyone oriented towards a cohesive goal. As a community developer and trainer, she knows how to dialog across difficult issues and think pragmatically about implementation under real-world conditions. As a life-long student of the natural and spirit worlds, she brings intuition & experience when it comes to working with ancestral & generational legacies — an arena that is commonly at-play when working inside people’s homes. She lives the systems she designs, is always taking input to refine to the needs of each environment, and is ultimately a guide to help YOU find your best domestic sanctuary, moving forward in this tumultuous world.
